All Seniors will complete the Chabot Application at College Day (Oct. 16, 2019) via their HUSD californiacolleges.edu account.

 

 


 

 

Chabot student orientation and registration (SOAR) Program for Seniors

 

All Seniors were offered the chance to complete the Chabot Application at HHS College Day on Oct. 16.  For those Seniors who still need to submit their Chabot application, here are the instructions via their californiacolleges.edu account.

To launch the Chabot Apply App, HHS Seniors follow these instructions:

1) If on a chromebook, power it on and "Add Person" at bottom left, then sign into the chromebook with your school email (____@husd.k12.ca.us).

2)  Go to www.CaliforniaColleges.edu and click on lock at top right.  Click the red "Sign In With Google" and sign in using your school email.  

3) At top middle, click "College" then "College Search Tool.  Search for "Chabot" then click on the name.

4) Click on the "Admissions" tab and click the blue "Apply" button.

5) Create a new account and complete the questions.  Use your personal (not school) email when asked.

Later this year, the following will be held:

1) Chabot Online Orientation will be completed in all HHS Government classes (February 2020, exact date TBD)

2) Optional: First Semester Planning (FSP) Session in the HHS College & Career Center in the Spring (exact schedule will be posted here soon).  Course placement and group counseling support will be provided. 

3) Attend SOAR Day (Student Orientation And Registration) at Chabot on a Saturday in May (exact date will be posted here soon) so you can select your classes.  If you cannot attend, you will be able to select your classes from home starting this day. 

4) Chabot Summer Bridge information will be posted here soon for students interested in a 3-week summer opportunity to get ahead.

Chabot Puente:  Supports all students with counseling, instruction and mentoring to prepare for transfer by exploring the Mexican-American & Latino experience

Chabot Umoja:  Supports students to achieve education success and learning African-American literature, history and issues

Chabot First Year Experience (FYE):  Focuses on student success in the form of various different "pathways" based upon student interests and academic goals.

Cost

For California residents, Chabot's enrollment fee is $46 per unit or $1,104 for full time for one year.
