The CSU College Corps Pilot Program is an AT&T grant funded project based out of Cal State East Bay in Hayward. The CCC program serves 200 low-income, first generation college-bound high school students at Hayward and Tennyson High Schools. Students receive academic enrichment as well as college awareness and motivation through various outreach services.
Such services include:
• Academic Advising
• Presentations and workshops
• Field Trips
• Family Events
• College Admission & Financial Aid assistance
• College Test Preparation
• Scholarship Opportunities
Student Eligibility:
Students must meet the following criteria in order to be eligible for selection as a CSU College Corps Pilot Program participant:
• Students must possess a minimum 2.00 cumulative high school Grade Point Average
• Students must qualify as low-income and/or potential first-generation college students, meaning
neither parent has received a four-year college degree
• Commit to remain in the CSU College Corps Pilot Program through high school graduation
• Demonstrate potential for postsecondary enrollment as defined by:
o Expressing a desire to go to college
o Maintaining a GPA of 2.00 or higher
o Exhibiting good citizenship and leadership skills
