Welcome!

The Hayward High Music program provides your child incredible opportunities to perform during this school year.  To make this happen, there is a lot of behind-the-scenes work to make these opportunities possible.

 

It’s a team effort. In partnership with the leadership under the direction of the instrumental music director, Mr. Tocco, the school, and the district, the HHS Band Boosters work collaboratively to continually improve the instrumental music program. 

 

In short, The HHS band boosters help shape the music program to what it can be.

Our mission is to:

1. Promote interest in the instrumental music program.
2. Provide financial support.
3. Provide a forum of support and encouragement for ongoing growth and development.

 

If you are a parent who wants to build and expand the program, we want to meet you!

 

The costs for coaches, music, uniforms, equipment, travel expenses etc., are not always covered by the school’s budget. The Hayward High Band Boosters, (a non-profit organization), are governed by an executive board, where we meet monthly and volunteer our time and resources to ensure the financing is available to enable the students to participate in a wide variety of performance opportunities, where they will learn how to master their instrument, build life long friendships, and perform for the Hayward community.

 

As a HHS Band Booster member, your participation helps us to reach our musical and financial goals. There are many ways to help the program. Financial contributions, and/or donating as little as 30 minutes a month, you can help us bring the program to a new level. The time your child is in high school will be over before you know it. Working together, we make a difference in the lives of the students. Please consider joining the HHS Band Booster family today.

 

How can I participate?

We’ve listened to your feedback, and made it easy than ever to join the HHS Band Boosters!

• Complete the Online HHS Band Booster Registration form, or
• Print and complete the HHS Band Booster document, and have your child bring it to class. 

 

How often do the Boosters meet?

Generally, we meet the first Thursday of the month, where we review our operating budget, upcoming performances, and fundraising activities for the school year. Once you complete the form, we will add you to the mailing list and you will receive information for the date, time and location of the next meeting.

 

I’m not a parent of a HHS student, can I support the program?

Yes! Relatives, friends, alumni or local business who are interested in supporting the HHS music program, are invited to join our Friends Around Music Education, (F.A.M.E.).

 

We hope to see you at the many events this year, the students put in a lot of hard work, and it’s rewarding to perform for you.
