YEP Cyber High (Summer Session)

Who's eligible: Current students who need to make up an F grade or improve a D grade
Classes Offered: most classes except for lab sciences, many are a-g approved, 5-10 units can be earned in summer session depending on student performance
Cost: None
When: June 24-August 16th,  8:30am - 12:30pm, Monday-Friday

Deadline to Enroll:  first come, first served, credit recovery before grade enhancement and 11th graders before 10th graders, 9th graders last
 


BYU Independent Study Courses

Who's eligible: All HHS Students
Cost: Approximately $140 for a 5 unit course
When:  anytime; up to student since it is an independent study course (one year to complete)
Where:  anywhere; up to student regardless of on-line or "paper and pencil" format, student takes final exam with HHS approved-proctor

Who to contactCounseling
Deadline to Enroll:  no deadline, student enrolls directly with BYU.  Seniors must complete classes they need for graduation by May 11.
 


Chabot Concurrent Enrollment @ Hayward Adult School (YEP)


What Courses:   

Who's eligible: All Students (9th-12th grades)
Cost: $25 Chabot registration fee (check made out to "YEP/HUSD" or money order only, no cash) with application.  (The course fee is waived for high school students and the books are provided free by YEP.)  
When:  June 24 - August 14, 2013 (Mon, Tues, Wed)   1:00 - 3:30
There will be an orientation on May 28 from 6-7 pm at HHS (room tbd).
Deadline to Submit all Reg Documents:  June 6
Deadline to Drop Class:  July 26

Where:  Hayward Adult School  (22100 Princeton St., Hayward)

Note: Chabot Concurrent Enrollment is highly impacted and space is extremely limited.  You might also consider other local community colleges such as Ohlone College (Fremont), Laney College (Oakland), and Las Positas (Livermore).

Other YEP Summer Courses

BOTVIN

Life skills training in budgeting, resumes and problem solving.  Students will also visit colleges and hear from local inspirational speakers.
June 24-July 5
Monday-Friday

Free, plus participants who attend every day will receive a $100 stipend.

SUMMER GLEE CAMP

Sing, dance and act this summer in YEP! Glee Camp!  Available to all HUSD students, YEP! Glee Camp incorporates memorization, singing, developing stage props and a performance at the end of the summer.
